Governor Abbott is expected to announce today that he has chosen Kent C. Sullivan, a partner in the Houston law firm Jackson Walker, as the next Texas Insurance Commissioner. Mr. Sullivan served as First Assistant Attorney General for then-Attorney General Abbott in 2006-2008. He is also a former Justice on the Texas Court of Appeals in Houston. More details to follow as they become available.
