TRS Reminders
The TALHI working group on the Teacher Retirement System 403(b) issue will meet via conference call on Tuesday, August 22 at 2 pm Central time. The TRS Board will be meeting on Friday, August 25, at 9 am Central time at the TRS Building 5th floor boardroom, 1000 Red River Street, Austin, Texas 78701. The meeting will also be available via webcast.

Round Up Deadlines Fast Approaching
If you haven’t made your plans to attend the 2017 Round Up, September 24-26 at the Four Seasons Austin, now’s the time before it’s too late. Don’t let the Labor Day shuffle cause you to miss out on a hotel room or discounted registration!

September 1 is the last day to make hotel reservations in our room block at our discounted $289 rate. The hotel has informed us they are very full for our dates, so we cannot guarantee availability after our block is full.

September 5 is the last day to register with early bird pricing. Rates for both members and guests go up $100 after September 5, so register today and save. (You’ll get the discounted rate if you fill out the registration form by the 5th, even if we haven’t received your check by that date.)

Annual Meeting Notice
As you know, our annual meeting, the 2017 Round Up, will take place August 24-26 in Austin at the Four Seasons. Rather than hold a formal “membership meeting” this year, we will vote on association business, including the Board of Directors and bylaws updates, electronically, so that more members will have a chance to participate. Voting notices will go out via email and be posted on the website closer to the conference.
