Not WC Notice Rule Progress
According to contacts at the Texas Division of Workers Compensation, the rule proposal is going through the final review process at TDI. No word yet on when we might expect to see the rule proposal published for comment, but it should be within the next couple of weeks.

TALHI Task Forces Making Progress
Both the 403(b) Task Force and the Cost of Insurance Task Force have bill drafts they are working on for the next legislative session. Members are working hard to get agreed-upon language before the 2019 session begins in January.

Texas Dinner at NCOIL a Success
Thanks to the TALHI members who joined us last night in Salt Lake City. Representative Anderson and Representative Oliverson (along with Oliverson’s family), Oliverson’s Chief of Staff Eiman Siddiqui, and TDI Government Relations Director Libby Elliott joined a group of TALHI members and other Texas trades for a fun night of networking.

Golf with Us at Round Up
Golfers, if you are planning to join us for the 2018 Round Up September 24-26 in San Antonio, make plans to come a day early for our annual LIPAC Golf Tournament on the morning of the 24th. The tournament, which is being held at The Quarry Golf Course, is a fundraiser for our PAC. The entry fee also includes breakfast at the club and the post-tournament awards luncheon.
