TRS Meeting Moved
The TRS Board meeting originally schedule for today has been moved to on Friday, September 1 due to the approaching hurricane. The meeting will take place at 9 am Central time at the TRS Building 5th floor boardroom, 1000 Red River Street, Austin, Texas 78701. The meeting will also be available via webcast.

TALHI LIPAC to Host Legislative Appreciation Reception
TALHI LIPAC will be hosting a legislative appreciation reception immediately following the close of the Round Up program on Monday, September 25 in the Waterloo Room of the Four Seasons Austin. We will honor Senators Kelly Hancock and Robert Nichols (invited) and Representatives Larry Phillips (invited), John Smithee, Dan Flynn (invited), Rodney Anderson, and Chris Turner.

TALHI members who would like to make personal or PAC donations to any of these legislators are invited to attend. Donations of at least $500 for representatives and $1000 for senators are suggested. Please contact us for more information or to RSVP.

Last Week for Round Up Discounts

TALHI to Host Legislative Staff
TALHI will be hosting several legislative staff lunches during September in honor of Life Insurance Awareness Month. This is a good way to continue relationships forged during the legislative session as we move into the interim, and highlight the important work insurers do for Texas and Texans.
