Texas Legislative Session Entering Last 30 Days
As the Texas Legislature enters the last 30 days of the legislative session, TALHI bills continue moving through the process. HB 2820, TALHI’s 403(b) reform legislation, was heard in Senate State Affairs committee yesterday. In addition to TALHI’s supporting testimony, Doug Massey from NAIFA-Texas also testified in support. There was no opposition to the bill. We expect the bill to be voted out of committee early next week.

TALHI Voting Now Open
Voting is now open for the 2019-2020 Board of Directors and officers, as well as for updates to the bylaws that have been approved by the Board. The Nominations Committee has recommended a slate of candidates for the Board and Treasurer. Voting is now open online, and will remain open through Friday, May 3. Only regular members of the association may vote. Not voting will be considered acceptance of both the slate of candidates and the bylaws update.
