TALHI Legislative Package Successful as 86th Session Winds Down
TALHI’s last two bills made it to the finish line at the Texas Legislature last night. Senator Paxton concurred on House amendments to SB 1852, our Consumer Choice Plan signature requirement removal bill, and Representative Craddick concurred with Senate amendments to HB 207. Both bills are on their way to the Governor, along with the rest of TALHI’s legislative package. Sunday, June 16 is the end of Governor Abbott’s veto period, though we do not expect the Governor to veto any of our legislation.

Call Next Tuesday Cancelled, Webinar July 9th
In lieu of a call next Tuesday, Jennifer will send a written bulletin outlining the close of the 86th Legislative Session. Our End of Session Webinar will be held July 9 and will provide a comprehensive look at the bills that passed and those that didn’t pass this session. TALHI will take a hiatus on weekly calls during June, but will resume calls after the webinar.
