TALHI Priorities Continue to Advance
Yesterday Senator Bryan Hughes, Vice Chair of the State Affairs Committee, agreed to file TALHI’s 403(b) legislation. This legislation would remove the Texas Teacher Retirement System’s duplicative regulation of products sold through the 403(b) marketplace while retaining necessary consumer protections. All TALHI legislative priorities have either been filed or have agreements to be filed. Stay tuned for bill numbers.

Be sure to register to attend TALHI’s 2019 Legislative Forum & Lobby Day, taking place March 19-20 in Austin. In addition to life and health updates, special guest Scott Braddock of the Quorum Report will discuss Texas politics. This event is approved for 2.5 hours of CLE credit from the State Bar of Texas.
